Choosing a Rise (step-over)
The rise allows tall pets to walk through the Pet Patio Door™ without having to bend or crouch. It is important that your pet does not have to bend over or crouch in order to use its pet door (this will become more significant as your pet ages). When installing your pet door, make sure that you have sufficient rise to allow your pet to walk straight through. This door comes with a standard rise of 6 inches. Optional custom rise heights are available. Make sure that the standard rise is high enough If the standard rise is not high enough, order the correct size for your pet.
