Titmice are generally comfortable around people. They usually prefer a natural habitat in areas with tall vegetation and in forests with a dense canopy of trees. The bird family of Titmice includes 65 species, twelve in North America. These familiar birds include Chickadees as well as the Tufted and Plain Titmouse.
The house is also suitable for House Finches, Violet-green Swallows and Carolina Wrens. And as with all of our nest boxes, the titmouse house design includes appropriate ventilation and drainage plus it opens easily for monitoring and cleaning. Wood chips, which should be renewed each nesting cycle, are included with the house
