Product Description

Designed by Frank Zuern to be a safer nesting place for Eastern Bluebirds. This horizontal box simulates a hollow tree branch which is widely used by these favorite birds. The house features a vertical baffle near the back of the box. This keeps the birds out of the reach of predators. Field-testing shows that more than 90% of the bluebirds using this nest box will nest behind the vertical baffle successfully thwarting predators.

These birds prefer open woodlands and farmlands with scattered trees. They breed east of the Rockies from southeastern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico and winter in southern part of their breeding range and in Mexico.
